Lords of Creation in the Playground
Woodsinging is an art of sorts practiced by some of the fey. They are very secretive regarding the exactness behind it, but is known that by singing or producing certain tunes, they can change the very nature of wood. While it has been widely observed that many of the workers of the Goddess of Song can induce life to grow through song, the precision, control, and changes wrought by woodsinging provide enough evidence that this is a separate manifestation.
Not only does it seem that the wood can be shaped by song — from a simple walking staff to an ornate sculpture, a batch of arrow hafts, barrels or doors… The products of woodsinging have also been observed to have properties not common to unsung wood. A distinct lack of flammability has been one observed characteristic, as has a substantially varied density — both woods lighter than they should be, and woods harder than worked steel.
